Full day, half day, evening or excursions out of the city, Bill will keep you fascinated and amused by the wealth of stories that the City has to tell and answer any questions which you may have.

Tour Details

Day Tours

On a typical day tour, you will be taken by public transport to The Royal Mile and spend a pleasant hour or two exploring this fascinating and historical part of town on foot. After a break for lunch, you will then be conducted to Edinburgh's majestic Georgian New Town to relive the golden age of the Scottish Enlightenment, the Edinburgh of David Hume and Adam Smith.

Half Day Tours

A typical half day tour will concentrate on the Old Town and will include the historic Grassmarket.

Evening Tours

Evening tours will be similar to the half day tours but may, if you wish, include a visit to one of the many convivial pubs to sample the local brews and traditional Scottish music.

Day Excursions

Day excursions can also be organised by negotiation, based on the client hiring a self drive car with Bill joining the party. Perhaps a visit to Rosslyn Chapel, St. Andrews, Melrose Abbey, the Borders or historical Linlithgow ?

Specialist Tours

Themed and special interest tours, for example, Robert Burns in Edinburgh for Homecoming Scotland 2009. If you are interested in a specific historical, literary or geographical aspect of Edinburgh or the surrounding area, Bill can customise a tour just for you or your organisation. Examples include Medical history, Architecture, the Scottish Enlightenment and moral philososophy.

Educational Tours

Designed to link classroom teaching to the physical environment. Bill has provided tours for students at primary, secondary and tertiary levels in collaboration with the teacher lecturer or professor both at home and abroad. He has also designed team building exercises for training agencies, multinationals and bits of fun to give lighter moments in conferences.

Step On Tours

If you are bringing a coach party to the City and are looking for a guide who will have your customers thoroughly entertained, informed and perhaps even rolling in the aisles, then Bill is the guide you are looking for.

VIP Tours

Bill provides special packages for VIP clients and employees of large organisations such as financial services, local and national governments at home and abroad.
