Nicolette and Janneke came to visit me for a long weekend, stayed in my house and we had the best time ever! Day one was a walking tour of Edinburgh on a cold, wet and windy November day and in the evening they took me Salsa dancing
Day one and we took a tour of Edinburgh had a lunch of Cullen Skink In the Royal Macgregor. The weather was very stormy
Day 2 and the girls went to Edinburgh Castle and were nearly blown away by the gale
Day 3 and we went to Stirling and the Trossachs. The girls loved Stirling Castle. The restoration work in the Palace is spectacular in its beauty
.
TheTrossachs inss one of the most hauntingly beautiful parts of this beautiful land. The glorious scenery has inspired artists poets, writers and musicians. The skies were clear and blue, a perfect day to see it.
I had to introduce the girls to a VIP resident of Kilmahog, Hamish
That night we had our farewell dinner in the Tailend where they learned what fish and chips should taste like and a farewell drink in my local later.
Next morning the girls indulged in a bit of retail therapy and I cooked lunch for them, before taking them to the Airport. I miss the sound of their laughter around the house. We became very close though and they will be back
