And Even Dreicher
Getting ready to participate in the annual Walk the World for Brain Tumour Awareness event..Its when support groups for people who have suffered from this condition and are recovering from surgery, along with their carers, people from all around the world, try to walk the equivalent of 3 times round the world. I am priveleged to have been asked again to lead the Edinburgh group. Its a humbling experience to spend time with these incredibly brave people, and one I wouldnt miss.
Work is starting to come in for next Summer which is heartening, particularly as it is coming from people who have been recommended by past friends that I have guided. These are as far apart as America and Australia.
Tonight the clocks go back an hour to give us more light in the morning but less in the evening, so by the time we get to 21 December, we get 8 hours of daylight and on cloudy days even less. We were taught when we were wee how to remember which way to alter the clocks by remembering 'fall back and spring forward' Aye dreich right enough but it means that my annual trip to the sunny French Alps is getting closer. Vive la joie de vivre. A bientot mes amis! Gilliaume.
