Full day, half day, evening or excursions out of the city, Bill will keep you fascinated and amused by the wealth of stories that the City has to tell and answer any questions which you may have.
Tour Details
£100Day Tours
On a typical day tour, you will be taken by public transport to The Royal Mile and spend a pleasant hour or two exploring this fascinating and historical part of town on foot. After a break for lunch, you will then be conducted to Edinburgh's majestic Georgian New Town to relive the golden age of the Scottish Enlightenment, the Edinburgh of David Hume and Adam Smith.
£75Half Day Tours
A typical half day tour will concentrate on the Old Town and will include the historic Grassmarket.
£75Evening Tours
Evening tours will be similar to the half day tours but may, if you wish, include a visit to one of the many convivial pubs to sample the local brews and traditional Scottish music.
Standard Day and Half Day ratesDay Excursions
Day excursions can also be organised by negotiation, based on the client hiring a self drive car with Bill joining the party. Perhaps a visit to Rosslyn Chapel, St. Andrews, Melrose Abbey, the Borders or historical Linlithgow ?
What's Included ?
Customised Edinburgh Tours costs are based on getting around the city on foot or by public transport for an individual or group of up to 5. The fee is for Bill's time and not per head. This will allow Bill to give his best attention to each client and make the experience more intimate and interactive.
Larger groups can be accommodated at a price to be negotiated.
Any extras, for example, meals, entrance to visitor attractions, car hire or excursions, are required to be met by yourself.
Please note that as these are walking tours, you must be of a reasonable fitness to spend most of the time on foot. Proper walking footwear is required – many of Edinburgh's charming streets are cobbled or have uneven surfaces. Also, you must have wet weather clothes in case of rain.
